Brandied Strawberry Sauce
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen, sliced strawberries1/4 cup granulated sugar2 tablespoons cornstarch2 tablespoons lemon juice2 tablespoons brandy or cognac
In saucepan blend strawberries, sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear. Cool slightly; stir in brandy. Chill before serving.
Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
